A Few Brave the Rain
I'm very impressed with the determination of a couple of my bath customers this rainy, rainy day. I am so in love with this Great Dane named "Moose".

Notes from the Day
Cooper and Jackson, two Shit-zu brothers came in for a visit and to get some good rain gear! While the green matched them nicely, they ended up special ordering the same coat in chocolate brown instead. So handsome!
Neighborhood dog and Lucky Pup regular "Arby" stopped by for a visit and played with Cooper and Jackson for a bit. Look at Cooper teasing poor Arby with that squeaky toy!
Arby is so handsome! He also got a bath shortly after this photo!

Lexie My Love
So our recent Lucky Pup adoptable "Lexie" (now Fiona) has come back for a visit today. Her new mom dropped her off this morning for a bath and some Lucky Pup time! I love this dog SO much!!! However, Cohen my Yorkie is not so sure about this situation....ha.

Bathing Two Bassets
Today we met Jake & Mazie the Basset Hounds for the first time! This brother and sister duo came in to Lucky Pup to get primped and pampered. My husband Troy was there to take some shots of us in action!
Cole Models His New iDawg Raincoat!
We recently ordered this gorgeous raincoat for California Lucky Pup customer "Cole". He kindly emailed us these photos of him wearing it and we think he looks darn cute (and well-prepared for the rain)! Need a big dog raincoat? We order these regularly for customers, so just send us your measurements, or bring your dog in to be measured and we will get one ordered for you promptly!

Happy Birthday Trip!
Trip just dropped in (or literally pulled her mom) to Lucky Pup for a birthday visit! We wanted to say Happy FIRST Birthday!! She picked out a Texas Toothpick off the treat shelf and also got a doggy fortune cookie, as well as a bag full of treat samples! She left the store wagging!

Chico the Chihuahua - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Chico the Chihuahua was dropped off at Lucky Pup yesterday morning for his birthday bath. Chico had been to see us before, and we were so delighted to see him again because he is the best-behaved little man ever! To celebrate his birthday today, we present these pics of little Chico for his moms delight and yours! HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHICO! Oh, and you can all visit Chico at his mom's store The Clothing Xchange in Hillsboro Village, where he goes to work everyday!

A Sunday Afternoon at Lucky Pup
My friend Brenda---who is also on the Board of Directors at The Nashville Humane Association---visited Lucky Pup today with her two babies for a day of pampering and shopping! Cleanest Dog of 2008
Meet Jack. He is a very familiar furry face around Lucky Pup. He wins the award for Cleanest Dog of 2008! Not only is Jack a frequent self-serve bath customer (along with his sister Sadie), but he also comes in regularly for the full bath-service treatment! Jack likes to impress the ladies...specifically his Shepard-mix girlfriend Murphy, so cleanliness is very important. Jack and Murphy often come in as a pair, and we like to think of it as their spa day together! Thank you Jack for being such a wonderful bath customer in 2008, for wooing the ladies with your aroma of Rosemary & Mint and for choosing Lucky Pup!

A Few of Today's Customers
Today was a busy, busy day! Lots of pre-holiday baths and stuff for under the tree! We started our day today with a visit from a regular bath customer, Clyde. We are ALWAYS excited to see Clyde because he is such a gentle soul. We sat together on the couch and watched Animal Planet until his mom and dad came to pick him up!
Our second bath appointment this morning was two dogs named Ada & Haku. I think these two dogs have worked their way into Susan's heart with their sweet demeanors...she spoiled them with LOTS of treats!
In the middle of the day I got a surprise visit from a good customer who recently helped rescue a young pit bull they named Lilly, who after being vetted, was diagnosed as having a broken leg and is 100% deaf. They found her living in a parking lot under cars for warmth. She now has been adopted by a wonderful girl who has another Pit baby at home. I just had to have a picture with this sweet girl still in her green cast and pink Pineapple collar from Lucky Pup!
Later on today Milton paid us a visit for his Christmas bath. I don't think he was very happy about it and he talked to us about it the entire time that I snapped his photo.
Little Stella was one of our tiniest customers today. Weighing in at only 6 pounds, she came in for some warm winter clothes and a few party outfits. I think when the 20 degree temperature hits this week, she is really going to appreciate her new warm coat!

Meet Beef.
This is Beef. He is a 6 lb. Yorkshire Terrier that came to see us today. He got a frosted treat for his stocking! His brother's name is Chicken. Chicken is a 3 lb. Yorkshire Terrier. We haven't met Chicken yet, but you can be assured that we will post his picture too as soon as we meet him! I just can't get over the names! So cute.
Brittany also came to see us. It was her first time for a bath at Lucky Pup and boy did she get the full treatment! She had 5 people working on her in the tub: mom, dad & three little girls! We loved meeting Ms. Brittany, although capturing her with my iphone proved to be difficult as she was a little camera shy!

Today at Lucky Pup
I started off the day today with a trip to my local food distributor and came back to the store with new yummy moist treats from Solid Gold: Turkey Jerky and Lamb Jerky! Yum, yum, yum. Come check it out!
Our day at the store started out with a visit from little Rocko, a Boxer puppy who came in looking for a harness and left with a handsome red one from Puppia!
We stayed very busy in the baths today, and I'm pretty sure it will be that way up until the holiday. My advice if you want to avoid the rush? Come Monday (we will be open this Monday, even though normally we aren't), or come early on Tuesday. The baths seem to be the busiest between 4:00 and 7:00. Saturday and Sunday are always a consistent flow of baths with more potential for a wait.
Our Christmas-themed toys and treats are slowly dwindling, so come soon if you want to make sure to grab some cute stocking stuffers! Hope to see some of you guys this weekend!

Some of Today's Visitors
Today was a great day! We had a couple of very generous customers come in and purchase a few of the remaining gifts for the Camp Chaos christmas stockings, so THANKS! I think we only about two items left to be purchased! Amazing.
We also received a visit from miss Honey....you guys might know her from the pink poster that has been sitting next to the jar on our cash wrap, asking for donations towards the full hip replacement she will need in order to save her life. She is SUCH a sweet baby. She came in for a bath and a new collar, and when she was done, she not only looked good, but was nice and tired and took a nap on our floor while Laura and I chatted. Honey will need both hips replaced, one at a time, costing a total of almost $10,000! We are thinking of donating a months worth of 5th baths here at Lucky Pup in either January or February to help pay for her surgery! Here is her beautiful photo. This sweet Pit-baby also came in for a warm winter coat, and we fit her beautifully into one of our iDawg Bomber jackets, which is also a favorite of my pit bull Lucy. They are so cozy and warm and also waterproof!! Something that will be greatly appreciated with all of the rain we have been having lately!
