Calling all pet lovers! Nashville Lifestyles introduces our 2009
Cover Dog Search. This event, in conjunction with the Nashville Humane
Association, brings out dogs, big and small, to compete for the chance
to be featured on the cover of our May issue, People and their Pets. A
celebrity panel of judges will help make the decision, while pets and
their owners enjoy cool cocktails, entertainment, and special offerings
from our sponsors.
If you are a Murfreesboro Magazine reader, you will have the chance to be featured on the August/September issue, People and their Pets.
Entries are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Print out your registration and ticket and bring it to the event.

Don’t forget to download your Rules and Registration Form to the right and bring it with you to the event.
Betty came to visit us tonight for a bath and while paying, I found out that she is actually a foster dog for the woman who came to bathe her. She's a 3-year old Golden Retriever and just a DOLL! She was so good for her bath, and actually looked like she was really enjoying the attention! If you want more information on Betty, please email Greta @ firstname.lastname@example.org
Hey everyone, I received an email this morning that our dear friends at The Nashville Humane Association are in need of newspaper! Any newspaper you may have can be dropped off at Lucky Pup, and we will even offer you 15% off your next purchase if you bring some newspaper with you! Thanks so much!
From Sam's Mom:
My name is Tammy Cothran, I'm Sam's mom. Sam just had his first birthday Jan 6th, 2009, weight 71lbs, full blooded with papers, is not fixed. Sam's dad wanted to breed him one time. Health is good, sees the Vet regularly.
My husband was a retired police detective and worked 18hrs. per week. He wanted Sam and for Westie Jack to have a brother. Unfortunately my husband went to heaven in November. When I have to be on site for work Sam is in his kennel because we do not have a fenced yard. He is kennel trained and sleeps in it at night but I have a hard time knowing he is locked up all day. Sam will ring jingle bells on the back door when he needs to go outside. Last summer after just 2 days he jumped off the back of our boat went swimming to the bank to take care of his business. We just call his name tell him to come and he will swim back to the doggy ladder, and get right back on the boat. He will sit, stay, come, heel and understands when you lead correct. He did attend 4 out 6 of his dog training classes. Due to my husbands illness we missed 2. I will check but I believe the trainer will allow him to attend again for no charge.
Sam loves children, playing and loves to love. Jack is only 14lbs but you would never know the way they play together. Sam will roll down on the floor for Jack to pull on his ears.
I just want my wonderful big boy to be able to get out run and play during the day. I'm looking for someone who loves dogs and treats them like one of the family. This is hard for me but not as hard as knowing my Sam is in his kennel.
If you would like to know more or see Sam please call 615.804.9849, we are in Bellevue. Enjoy his pictures!!
